Today&#8217;s e-car drivers were specifically asked about the five payment methods<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Charging app,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Charge card \/ chip,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Plug &amp; Charge,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ad-hoc + smartphone and<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ad-hoc + EC\/credit card.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The Public Charging Payment survey, conducted online in June 2021, involved almost 500 e-car drivers <strong>in not only Germany<\/strong> but also <strong>Austria and Switzerland.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In general the deliverable includes a PDF report (approx. 86 pages).<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group\"><div class=\"wp-block-group__inner-container\">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading is-style-underlined\">Content and added value of the Public Charging Payment Study<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-generic-accordion generic-accordion\"><details id=\"content-of-the-public-charging-payment-study\"><summary class=\"accordion-title\">Content of the Public Charging Payment Study<\/summary><div class=\"accordion-text\">\n<p>Segmentation criteria:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Socio-demographic data (age, gender, etc.)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Driving habits (mileage per year and per weekday)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Charging locations<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Charging occasions, routine<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Payment and tariff setting:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Payment options<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Payment preferences<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Satisfaction payment process<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Prices (Plug &amp; Charge, Ad-hoc, Fast charge)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Parking fees<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Tariff setting<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Product-Market Fit of payment methods:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Determination of the product market fit and the target groups that can be reached for the five payment methods Payment via charging app, charging card\/chip, Plug &amp; Charge, Ad-hoc + smartphone and Ad-hoc + EC\/credit card<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Prioritised usage drivers for all queried payment methods<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Prioritised barriers to use for all payment methods surveyed<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div><\/details><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-generic-accordion generic-accordion\"><details id=\"target-group-of-the-survey\"><summary class=\"accordion-title\">Target group of the survey<\/summary><div class=\"accordion-text\">\n<p>For the study only owners and drivers of e-vehicles that at least occasionally charge publicly were recruited. For each payment method, 100 people who actively use the respective payment method were interviewed.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/details><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-generic-accordion generic-accordion\"><details id=\"added-value-and-benefits-for-after-sales-managers--dealers-and-dealer-trainers-and-hotline-operators\"><summary class=\"accordion-title\">Added value and benefits for after-sales managers, dealers and dealer trainers and hotline operators<\/summary><div class=\"accordion-text\">\n<p>In general, the study shows product owners of payment methods at eMSP, CPOs, OEMs and payment service providers which levers can be used to increase the use of the respective payment method. The usage drivers mentioned support providers in marketing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Furthermore, the results also allow providers to estimate under which conditions which payment methods can establish themselves and to what extent.
